In Pursuit of Positivity

The Pursuit of Positivity

In pursuit of positivity, do you feel like you need to put your umbrella up to protect yourself from negativity swirling around you, especially when you are exuding positive vibes? We all have days like that. Negativity can drizzle, rain and pour out of people, places and things. Instead of an umbrella, I have a better idea.

Being positive takes action mentally, physically and spiritually. It’s a choice. Paying attention to ourselves at every moment matters in the pursuit of positivity. Patient vigilance creates a pattern, a rhythm we can depend on. I don’t know about you, but I sure don’t enjoy negative people, and I can pretty much bet you don’t either. We can’t carry around an umbrella all day to keep negativity from raining on us, but we can make choices that protect us in a much more suitable way.

Choose your friends wisely. Find people to surround yourself with that are supportive, positive and happy. When people engage in behavior that makes you squish up your face in distaste, stay away from them and if you are brave enough, let them know they are bumming your happy high! You sure can’t make an unhappy person happy just because you are. It can rub off, but so can energy vampire negativity, so run!

Your protection barrier is more positivity. Surround yourself with it. The more you are around happy people, the happier you become. You will attract more of what you give out. When you say YES to Life, guess what? Life says, “Yes” to you. That’s the way it works. Yes, there are bad things happening in the world, there are evil people in the world, but remember they feed off negative energy. The more of us that stay happy, positively plugged into our joy, connected to our heart, understanding our free will, our lives will shift – the planet will shift. Why? Because everything is energy and when we give our free will away, we lose. Take back your power from wherever it has been. You deserve to be happy, we all do, but it is a choice. So throw away that umbrella and fearlessly walk in pursuit of positivity with passion and purpose today and everyday.
