When You Dedicate Yourself Magic Happens

The words “I do” when spoken as wedding vows signify a level of commitment to a partner for life.

Whether you are married or not, I’m certain you understand that high level of commitment. This act (of the exchange of wedding vows) is a gesture in being dedicated. Dedicated to a union. There are many different types of dedications. A dedication to another; a dedication to a cause; a dedication to a life’s mission; a dedication to one’s goal; a dedication to your prospects and/or clients.

The intensity and the conviction you express when making a dedication (as in the example of saying the words “I do”) anchors in that dedication at an entirely different level. Therefore when making a dedication, follow it up with a commitment of some sort … whether in writing or verbally or in your own mind.

One of the things that I’ve been blessed to do in my career is to teach goal achievement. One of my popular programs is called The Proven Goal System and in this program there are definite steps to follow to achieve your goals. And, the steps are a process that I’ve personally followed for years and work each and every time as I’ve achieved goal after goal after goal.

Following my proven goal system I’ve purchased many homes, vacation homes, built a multi-million-dollar revenue producing business, achieved the acclaimed status of New York Times Best-Seller for my book, had my books translated into over 33 languages and sold in more than 80 countries, attracted and married the man of my dreams. I am now blessed and feel grateful for living an extraordinarily wonderful life.

The first step in the process is called: Dedication.

Dedication involves you making a commitment that you will follow through on a goal and you consider no other option. Failure is not an option. Second best is not an option.

History has countless stories of leaders who lead their armies across bodies of water and then burned their ships because they had one choice and one choice only: to conquer.

At this moment think about something you would love. What would you love? What is a goal that you have a deep desire to achieve? Now make a dedication to see that goal materialized in your life. Here’s a dedication statement that you can follow:

* * * * * * * * *
I, ________________________ (your name), dedicate myself to the achievement of this goal. I see, believe and know this goal has already materialized in my life and I feel the reality of it now. I celebrate in feeling gratitude and joy of experiencing this now.

* * * * * * *
Follow up your dedication with a statement that includes your goal in writing.

Write the goal in present tense, as if you have already achieved it. For example, I _________________ your name, am so happy and grateful to have/be __________________ finish off the statement with your goal. Use only positive words.

This process can work whether you are looking to achieve a financial goal, a relationship goal, a business goal, a purchase goal, and any goal you set for yourself.

You may have heard the expression before: “they set themselves up for success”. Following this first step in a proven process will have you set yourself up for success… guaranteed!
