Are you an Encourager or a Discourager?

I would like to quote Josh Hinds, a Syndicated Columnist and Author “Whether or not we realize it each of us has within us the ability to set some kind of example for people. Knowing this would you rather be the one known for being the one who encouraged others, or the one who inadvertently discouraged those around you?”

How do you see yourself? Do you uplift others or try to pull them down? Some people tend to discourage others because of their own experiences and fears. How could we possibly know what is right for another person when we come from our own perspective or viewpoint? Try keeping an open mind next time someone asks you for advice. The worst vice can be advice, as many people dust off their old experiences and pass it off as wisdom. This can be a positive or a negative. Many people are addicted to giving advice, make sure it is positive and uplifting. Don’t let anyone discourage you from your greatest dreams and desires. Maya Angelou says “Courage is the most important virtue because without courage you can’t practice any other virtue consistently. If you’ve seen and know the truth then you have had enough courage to change your way of thinking.” Cheers to Living in Courage.
